Reign of Chaos war is all about getting points so you can get some seriously major rewards for your whole alliance. If you’ve been practicing tiling, great! That’s what you should be doing on non-war days, trying to get to lvl 12-16 tiles quickly, depending on your team strategy.
Based on the strategies we've used in our state alliance (TTT Freedom Fighters from State 341), on war days (wars last two or so hours after reset), we have our members take part in RoC as a part of four different teams.
Here is the basic breakdown of team builds for reign of chaos from Rise of Empires: Ice and Fire
ATTACK TEAM: Must have T8 or T7 cavalry or archer troop in legions. During war, watch alliance chat for captain instructions. Once war is declared, we have 30 minutes to prep (deploy the attack strategy captains prepped between war days). Only team captains will ping and give orders. They will set a rally point, and all castle-attackers will port, and begin tiling to buildings. Primary goal is to take down an alliance centre, but burning buildings is integral, and key for points.
DEFENDER TEAM: Must have T8/T7 footmen or cavalry in legions. During war, defend Alliance Centres as per captain’s instructions. First line of defense is tile blocking, which means to tile around the buildings that protect our Alliance Centres. Defenders must search for red lines and tiles around Alliance Centres during war, and occupy before marching army arrives, or garrison at buildings being attacked.
PATHMAKER TEAM: Covert Ops team. Must have 100% cavs (any tier) but 100% purebred. Pathmakers travel to enemy state after team captain has placed rallying point near enemy Alliance Centresl. They travel in packs of fours, and make a beeline straight to alliance centre two. Once there, surround and occupy as many tiles as possible, but do not attack buildings.
TILE CLEANSING TEAM: The most important team of all, and made up of anyone who cannot participate at wartimes, or who does not fulfill the troop needs of above teams. Post-war, enemy tiles will still be in our state. If they stay here, they will have an advantage for the next war. We need castles to diligently re-occupy enemy (purple) tiles in our state when the war is over to keep our defense strong! Exciting, yes?
Now it’s time to think about which team you would like to be on. When captains are announced, reach out to that captain and sign up for duty! Finally, war prep will begin eight to ten hours before the RoC war event starts, so begin saving your stamina at that time.
